Besobela Tulsi Herbal Body Oil

Our Besobela Tulsi Herbal Body Oil begins with Besobela Tulsi flowering tops grown at Earthstar Botanicals micro herb farm. The blossoms are are hand harvested at their peak, and dried at low temperature, to preserve their aromatic and healing properties. The dried Tulsi then used to infuse organic olive oil, with a tiny amount of local, organic vodka added to enhance infusion and preservation.

Tulsi: ‘The Incomparable One'. A renowned adaptogen in Ayurvedic medicine, celebrated for her ability to reduce stress, increase energy & longevity. Besobela Tulsi Herbal Body Oil has delicious fruity clove scent, with grounding qualities. A unique fragrance, and personal favourite.

Two varieties of Tulsi are grown at Earthstar Botanicals: Rama Tulsi which is native to India, and Besobela Tulsi (aka 'Temperate Tulsi') which is native to Ethiopia. They have similar herbal qualities, as well as distinct personalities. Rama Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) has a more pungent, headier clove aroma, and is higher in essential oils. Besobela Tulsi (Ocimum bisabolenum) has an fruitier, earthier flavour, and is higher in antioxidants.

To Use: Apply to skin after bathing, as a moisturizer. Can be used as a massage oil for feet and body. For a relaxing scalp & hair treatment, massage oil into scalp before bed and leave on overnight. In the morning, shampoo hair to remove excess oil.
