Double Tulsi Tea

Tulsi: Tulsi, 'The Incomparable One', is a renowned adaptogen in Ayurvedic medicine, celebrated for her ability to reduce stress, increase energy and longevity. 

Two varieties of Tulsi are grown at Earthstar Botanicals: Rama Tulsi which is native to India, and Besobela Tulsi (aka 'Temperate Tulsi') which is native to Ethiopia. They have similar herbal qualities, as well as distinct personalities. Rama Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) has a more pungent, headier clove aroma, and is higher in essential oils. Besobela Tulsi (Ocimum bisabolenum) has an fruitier, earthier flavour, and is higher in antioxidants. In this Double Tulsi Tea Blend, the flavours and qualities of both Tulsis are combined.

Grown at Earthstar Botanicals micro herb farm, using organic methods (no pesticides or chemical fertilizers). Dried at low temperature and hand processed to keep their aromatic and medicinal qualities intact.

Brewing Instructions: Add 1 tsp of tea per cup of boiling water. Steep for 15 minutes or longer. Strain & enjoy!
